Is RealMe X the best smartphone under 20K

The under 20K segment is kind of crowded at the moment and you have loads of options- and that’s from the good brands too. One good choice is the RealMe X priced at Rs. 16,999.

It is being compared to some good devices out right now, like the Samsung A50, the M50, and the Oppo K3. These phones are known for their premium design, good cameras, nice battery, and exceptional screen. RealMe X, on the other hand, has some awesome features that set it apart.

For example, the pop-up selfie camera, the 48 MP main sensor, 128 GB storage and a screen without a notch. The device performs as well, even manages some of the heavier tasks and gaming with ease. Cameras have been enhanced with the addition of night mode, for better shots taken in low light and a special game mode.

Onto the Specifications of Realme X

The screen is all of 6.5 inches, is a Super AMOLED FHD+ in 2340×1080 resolution, has WideVine L1 support and the Colour OS, that’s based on the Android 9. RealMe X is powered by the Snapdragon 710 chipset and is paired with 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage, but this storage can’t be expanded.

The camera is 48 MP and has the IMX 586 sensor, while the 5 MP sensor camera is good for portrait shots. On the downside is the 3760 mAh battery. We’re thinking that for the price tag, could’ve been better, but it does have VOOC 3.0 fast charge.

Pros: Good design, AMOLED display, VOOC 3.0 fast charge, excellent performance

Cons: Heavyweight, Colour OS, no micro SD slot

Design and screen

It’s all screen without the notch and practically bezel-free save for the thicker chins piece. RealMe went for the AMOLED, protected by Gorilla Glass 5 so that they could add optical scanner underneath it for use with in-display biometrics.

So far, this is the best screen from RealMe and has full HD+ with a 19.5:9 aspect. It works beautifully under the sun, has great infinite contrast, deep blacks, but you do need to calibrate the whites tones as they look really blue.

The pop-up camera works a lot like the OnePlus 7 Pro, where it retracts the moment it detects freefall. But since there isn’t much space on the top, the proximity sensor and ambient light are put under the screen instead.

It is always a good idea to protect such a stunning looking phone with Realme X back covers. You can checkout Blackbora to Shop for Realme X Cases in India, they have a selection of licensed art designs of cases which are protective yet stylish.

RealMe X comes in Punk Blues and Steam White, and if you’re lucky, you might come across the Spiderman and the Onion & Garlic Master edition as well.

On the center of the back panel, you have the camera panel and a ring on the depth sensor as well as on the power key. The body is made out of polycarbonate and feels sturdy, with a slightly arched back for a great grip.

With this X device, Realme has managed to include all of the trendy features, good biometrics and is a good choice for those wanting good build, great daily performance and gaming as well.
