This is an upcoming Tamil language action thriller film starring the prestigious actor of Indian cinema Rajinikanth. The story of this film is written by Siva, Savari Muthu, Antony Bhagyaraj, and the dialogues of this film were done by Chandran Pachaimuthu. The music is composed by D. Imman, cinematography of this film was done by Vetri, and edited by Ruben. The film is directed by Siva and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures. The film’s title Annaatthe was revealed on 24 February 2020.

The filmmakers had made a long casting for this film. In this film the superstar actor of Indian cinema, Rajinikanth plays the main lead role along with the hottest actress of Telugu cinema Nayanthara, the popular star of Indian cinema Jackie shroff, the superstar actress of south cinema Meena, actress and producer Khushbu Sundar, Indian actress Keerthy Suresh.

Further, long with these superstars actors and actresses, other superstar actors of Tollywood cinema will play the supporting role in this film, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Vela Ramamoorthy, Soori, Sathish, George Maryan, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Thavasi, Kabali Vishwanath.

The superstar actor Rajinikanth had wrapped up the shooting of this film on 12th May 2017. Now the film is under post-production. The filmmakers had decided to schedule the theatre release of this film for this Diwali, 4th November 2021.
